The Best Life Ever

I cried. I laughed. I was inspired.

ATTENTION:

There are NO spoilers in this post!

This past weekend, we attended the 2016 “Remain Loyal to Jehovah” Regional Convention.

The title of this blog post sums up the weekend in a nut shell.

If there were words to describe, they would be this:

  • Cried
  • Laughed
  • Inspired
  • Excited
  • Riveting
  • Eye-opening
  • Empowered
  • Moved
  • Thought-provoking
  • Encouraged
  • Loved
  • Motivated
  • Contemplative
  • Absorbed
  • Reminded
  • Attentive
  • Powerful
  • Lovingly Disciplined

…and any other words that could possibly capture it.

This was definitely an eye-opening convention. It was one you wish you could experience over and over again.

It definitely proves the words at Matthew 24:45. Jehovah gives us exactly what we need, when we need it. That never ceases to amaze me.

This convention was one where you will definitely think about it much in the days and weeks that pass. Probably months and years.

And it’s most certainly one that will cause you to have a major self-examination.

For me personally, one point that I took away, was how important it is to really sound down encouraging & faith-strengthening scriptures, to remember during the Great Tribulation.

Some cry all three days. Some don’t cry until Saturday. And maybe some don’t cry until Sunday. Or maybe you’re like some of us where you definitely could have shed a few more tears, but were holding them back because if you let go you could have had a break down. Cough. Cough.

Either way, you will at least tear up.

Also, use your bathroom breaks wisely. The dramas are definitely NOT A bathroom break time!

All of the video dramatizations that we have at the conventions now are such a loving provision. There’s so much time, thought, and effort that goes into every single aspect of the convention.

If you haven’t already attended the convention, I’m so excited for you! It’s definitely one for the books.

What were your thoughts on this year’s convention?

  1. I LOVED it. It made me really focus on the importance of sounding down those scriptures into my heart and mind in preparation for the coming great tribulation. I had to absolutely go tinkle and missed one of the little videos with animals. Made me mad, lol. Stupid bladder. But mostly, it was a goosebump-inspiring three days and just reinforced how much Jehovah loves us by providing us with the necessary information. I’m looking for another convention nearby so I can attend Sunday again. (For anyone who hasn’t had theirs, waterproof mascara is a must. Unless you like the raccoon look.)
