This Past Week…and upcoming.

February is starting to turn into a busy month…but a good one.

While it’s starting to get busy, it’s a good busy! I haven’t been regularly adding shop to the JW Designers page as I would like, but I’m focusing on other things. While I love sharing & writing, it can quickly take up a lot of time. With Instagram posts, following up on messages, and the new emails that come in…those minutes add up quickly and can turn into hours. And when you look back at the week, the amount of time you can spend on social media, the internet, etc. can get out of hand. {I love the latest whiteboard animation!}

 I think I’m going to have to set aside a few hours in the afternoon specifically focusing on blogging & the little extras that come with it. I feel like this would help. Do any of you with shops or blogs do this? Does it help you? How?

There’s a lot of things I’d like to do to make the “JW Designers” section a bit more interesting and really focus on each individual shop. One thing, for example, would be to add a gallery. Do you have any suggestions??💭

We have our Circuit Overseer visit coming up next week, so of course I’m excited for that!😁 I always love the extra talks. I could listen to them forever. They’re so heartfelt & timely information every single time. Plus, spending more time out in the ministry is always so much fun.

Also, as another month goes by, it means I’m one month closer to going to the NWH in Warwick, NY!  I am beyond thrilled.😱

Something that I recently found is proving to be of HUGE help. You all know I like to plan (and color code, lol!), and I’m so happy that I found these. I bought a refillable planner quite some time ago, but never got the inserts because they were never EXACTLY what I was looking for. Plus, things can get pretty expensive on Etsy, so I didn’t want to make a purchase that I wasn’t 100% happy and/or thrilled with. Until I came across this sister’s Instagram. I remember following her from the beginning, but as I followed more shops & Instagram started using the whole algorithm thing, her account slipped by me.

But, I found it again!😄 Yay! I started scrolling through and found that she now made inserts! FINALLY, I found just what I had been looking for! Personally, they are a tool to help me think more and deeply, set goals, and find ways to achieve them. I really like the “word of the year” and “quote of the month” features (you could also put a scripture instead of a quote).  She has theocratic inserts and monthly/yearly/weekly inserts. In addition, she has multiple daily lists. I highly recommend checking out her Instagram it may be just what you’re looking for.

Here are just a few of the wonderful inserts she has!

Another shop that I am really loving is this one! Here’s their Instagram, too! I got 5 different sticker sheets {JW Activities, Study Time, Cleaning Day, Pay Day, and Me Time}. They are all so cute!😍

Aren’t they so adorable?!

I’ve been asked a couple of times what planner I use and the paper, so I’m more than happy to share the links with you! Especially the paper one. It took me a while to find the right size paper online. The paper preference may vary upon which kind of pens you use or what you prefer. Eventually, I may look for a paper that’s a bit more matte because I use liquid highlighters. BUT, with this paper below, I don’t have any issues at all with them bleeding through.

And there’s one last thing that is making this month busier…the process of getting my license!🙄The amount of information they include is a bit overwhelming, but I know it will all work out.

I hope you enjoyed this post! I know I don’t write near as many posts on my blog as I share on Instagram. Lol!

  1. I agree social media can easily take up a lot of time if we are not careful!! It’s a good thing when we take time to examine and make improvements in our lives so we don’t loose site of our spiritual goals. Enjoy your C/O’s visit, we will have ours in March!!

  2. Hi Allison great post! I used to blog so I know what you mean about time consuming. We’re so busy so trying to manage our time can be difficult. I don’t have time to blog anymore it’s just too much. Instagram takes up my time with posting my items. I do love the sisters inserts I ordered it after I saw yours and I love it! Thanks for the info on paper refills!!! And thank you so much for what you’ve done for us designers 😘

    1. Yes Instagram takes up a LOT of time. And yay! I’m so glad you’re happy with them! I got the first kit..and then I was like, wellll…so long story short I got another small kit that has daily things. Lol🙈 I’m really liking the refillable/printable inserts now in general, because I was so used to the Planners you buy at Walmart, etc. And you’re welcome about the paper…hope it helps!

  3. Social media has benefits but can be a distraction. I try to schedule my personal study and service time first and then make time for my essential oil’s business on instagram @rawelementessentialoils as well as our winery in N.E. Pennsylvania. I use a simple WordPress app on my phone to do a blog and you can even post a photo from it.
    It’s quick and simple, but it’s nice were taught what is most important.
